Stop right now and look at what colour you put on this morning. How does it make you feel? Colours play an important part in our lives – what we wear and what we’re surrounded by.
Red, for example, can make us feel powerful and assertive. It can also make us feel angry. Imagine being surrounded by 4 red walls all day! On the other hand, blue is a very calming colour which is also great for improving communication. White will instil trust, green is good for abundance and growth, and yellow helps with our intuition.
Bright cheery colours will obviously lift your mood, whilst dark colours will darken your mood. Colour therapy can help us heal emotionally, mentally and physically. Next time you’re feeling depressed, stressed or angry, have a think about the colours you’re wearing, and, next time you paint the walls at home… choose wisely!
